The meaning for CG is debatable but it is generally thought to stand for Computer/Color Graphic, Character Graphic, or Cutscene Graphic. This typically refers to a non-sprite static graphic that displays unique artwork not found anywhere else in the game. As opposed to the normal game play where the characters are just sprites placed on a random background.
